Now QuikStory videos will remain in an always-editable format so users can go back and make changes at any time.Īccording to GoPro, this new functionality is a critical improvement from the previous Quik pass-through workflow, providing GoPro app users with a more powerful way to manage their media and update their edits on-demand. The GoPro app update offers additional creative options by removing draft limitations of the previous editing model. The result, according to GoPro, is a highly customisable editing experience with infinite creative options. The update gives users access to more than 20 filter options, and the ability to apply multiple filter types within the same multi-clip video. The app is also able to mix and match filters in a single QuikStory. To create a QuikStory, the camera must be connected to the GoPro app. QuikStories requires a HERO7, HERO6, HERO5 or HERO camera and the GoPro and Quik mobile apps. These stories will include recently-shot GoPro content and users can also add any photo or video saved in the media library of their smartphone. “But the real fun begins with the updates to the storytelling experience, with an improved QuikStory multi-clip workflow, which enables the GoPro app to better identify meaningful moments in footage and suggest awesome story compilations of photos and videos, automatically. “GoPro app users will immediately notice design updates, from a visual refresh and a more modern UI to a more intuitive navigation,” says GoPro. According to GoPro, it means there are more storytelling tools and enhanced feature capabilities. The update integrates elements of the Quik video editing app into the GoPro app.

GoPro has released a new update for its app that includes a new design, new capabilities, and a new software engine – all so users have a ‘single app experience' for mobile editing and more controls through their smartphone.
